Dramatic finish and proceed in Slovnaft Cup
ŠK Slovan Bratislava won over MFK Vranov nad Topľou after penalty shootouts.
Slovan has played against Vranov nad Topľou in second round of Slovnaft Cup. Our team travelled to the east part of Slovakia and stadium in Vranov was sold out. Slovan started better with higher possession of ball, however, without any big chances. In a first half, there was just Cleber´s shot from free kick and inaccurate header by Oršula.
Second half was more interesting. Our team was still pushing, but without any goal in Vranov´s net. There was a space to breakaways for home team and Vranov was close to score in 79th minute. Two home players were running alone against Krnáč, however, they didn´t manage the final phase. In a breakaway, Priskin was alone in-front of Makó, did a good dribbling, unfortunately, Vranov´s goalkeeper stopped him.
Game came to penalty shootout. The decision came in last series, which was started by 2:2 result. Savičevič has scored by nice shoot to the left upper corner. Afterwards, Krnáč saved shot by Abaturov. Slovan has won 3:2 in penalties and passed to 3rd round of Slovnaft Cup.
