Game between MŠK Žilina and ŠK Slovan Bratislava was marked as a highlight of 17th round of Fortuna league. Žilina was first at league ranking, Slovan as a third team took row of six victories in competition. The match offered great football in high intensity. Žilina took the lead in 20th minute, when Špalek run through right side and Škvarka shot from the penalty area – 1:0. Slovan answered five minutes later. Shot by Tamás Priskin was hit by Holúbek and Volešák didn´t manage to catch the ball, which hit the crossbar and finished into the net – 1:1. However, Žilina scored again two minutes later. Hlohovský shot from the free kick, ball´s direction was changed by one of our defenders and Mucha didn´t manage to catch it – 2:1. Vukan Savičevič had a great chance to equalize again in 39th minute, but his shot from 20 meters went over the crossbar.

In the second half, Slovan became the more active team and prepared several good opportunities. In 56th minute, Soumah run through middle area and his hard shot was blocked by Vavro. The biggest opportunity to equalize had Tamás Priskin 63rd minute. His shot from penalty was hit by Králik and ball went to the right upper corner. Volešák managed to block it on the corner kick. In 78th minute, de Kamps sent surprising center from the difficult angle and ball touched the crossbar. In last minutes, Žilina capitalized free space to breakaways and Vallo missed the target by a header. Slovan didn´t manage to equalize, however, sky-blues played perfect game and contributed to the charming football evening.
