Exhibition in the first half and a new historical remark
For Slovan, the next week's match of a qualifying round of Europa League, should be only a formality in order to reach the second qualifying round. Slovan smoothly scored six goals playing Europa club FC in Gibraltar.
Slovan Bratislava entered to the new season ideally. In the opening match of the first qualifying round of the European League won over a team in Gibraltar Europa FC 6: 0 and scored five goals before the halftime . Amazing hattrick perforomed by Karol Mészáros, then two more goals secured by the midfielders Slobodan Simovic and Samuel Stefanik. And at the very end Tamás Priskin supported the win and scored the last and the sixth goal . ŠK Slovan managed to rewrite the historical statistics as the highest victory so far on the opponent`s pitch competing on the European level. It has overtook the 4 : 0 victory on the pitch of the Welsh Team Cwmbran Town in the 2001/02 season of UEFA Cup.
