Our first opponent in Europa league is FK Partizani Tirana
ŠK Slovan Bratislava will meet Albanian runner-up FK Partizani Tirana in first qualifying round of Europa league.
Slovan as a Slovak runner-up was between seeded teams. Our team could face one of four opponents – FK Partizani Tirana, MTK Budapest, Slavia Sofia and Käpäz PFK (Azerbaijan). Lot in Nyon decided, that Slovan will meet FK Partizani Tirana. We will play the first game on 30th June in Albania, the home game is planned on 7th July.
FK Partizani Tirana is one of the most successful Albanian clubs. It was set up in 1946 and won the Albanian league for fifteen times. It has also won fifteen national cups. The goalkeeper of Partizani, Alban Hoxha, is playing in Albanian national team in EURO 2016. FK Partizani finished at second place in last season of Albanian superleague. Our game will be played in Elbasan Arena with capacity for 12 800 spectators.
If we pass through Albanian obstacle, we will meet better team from battle Breidablik (Iceland) and FK Jelgava (Latvia) in second qualifying round, which is planned to 14th July and 21st July.
