Slovan has started Fortuna league 2016/2017 in Senica. The first half of match didn´t bring many chances, teams were fighting mostly in the middle area. Teams could change score in the end of first half. Firstly, Richard Lásik sent nice shot from the penalty area and Šulla managed to react. On the other side, Pirulo performed nice scissors and Mucha brilliantly saved.

The second half brought higher intensity of game. Slovan started better and Zreľák missed the target by nice shot. Then home team answered by inaccurate shots from Delgado and Pirulo. Our team was close to opening goal in 64th minute, when Soumah sent shot to left upper corner, which was blocked by Šulla. Senica had two great opportunities in 71st and 72nd minute. Firstly, Pirulo didn´t capitalize from breakaway just in front of Mucha. Home team continued in attack and Kratochvíl´s header went over Mucha to the net, but, Saláta brilliantly blocked it on the goal line. Slovan answered with winning goal just one minute later. We had a corner kick, Saláta sent great header and Šulla blocked it just to the penalty area. Seydouba Soumah was there, took the ball and shot to the empty net – 0:1. Our team defend the lead well and didn´t allow any possibilities for home team to equalise. Slovan could increase the lead in 85th minute, when were two players in breakaway and Scott shot the ball to Šulla.
