Slovan signs striker Andraž Šporar!
ŠK Slovan Bratislava signed 4,5-year contract with Slovenian striker Andraž Šporar.
ŠK Slovan Bratislava confirms the signing of striker Andraž Šporar. Sky-blues got the very good reinforcement to attack. Šporar belongs to the biggest talents of Slovenian football and his transfer to Basel in 2015 was the biggest in history of competition in Slovenia. Šporar comes to Slovan from FC Basel.
Slovan won the big fight for services of striker, who scored incredible seventeen goals in autumn part of 2015/16 season. Slovan had a better offer than clubs from Belgium, Netherlands or Serbia.
“It was the most difficult transfer of our history. There was a big fight for Šporar´s services and I am very happy, that we complete his coming to Slovan Bratislava,” said vice-president of club Ivan Kmotrík jr.
“There was no coming of player as Andraž to Slovak competition yet. He is a player, who fulfills high European criteria and is part of Slovenian national team. This transfer is showing our direction in transfer policy, which we started to rush in summer transfer period with coming of players as Rabiu, Holman or Božikov. In person of Andraž, there is coming a quality on level of top European leagues. We want to achieve European level and be part of European cups, and we need great players to achieve it. I welcome him in Slovan and I hope, that our cooperation will be successful,” said Ivan Kmotrík jr.
