Team U14 played in Madrid against top teams from old continent and in confrontation of 24 teams finished on great 10th place

Young players of ŠK Slovan Bratislava had their chance to play against best mates in Europe and most likely in the world as well.

Our youth team har challenging start of the tournament. At the beginning, we lost to home team of Real Madrid 0:3, afterwards we needed just a bit of luck to gain points against future finalist from Chelsea London (0:1). However in later games against Aspira Academy, New York Soccer Club or Strömsgodset we did not lose any points.

„We had a brilliant opportunity to play against top teams. My players understood this thing and played their best. Playing time was 2x20 min but we had seven hard games in row within three days. We can say that we are not in touch with best teams of the world, but we can play equal matches with every squad from Europe and also from whole world. It was interesting to beat very technical team from Japan and afterwards, we could play one more game against Juventus Torino. Without any doubts I can say that most of the game, we were better team,“ said coach of Slovan U14 team Pavol Sedlák.
