Slovan players successful in national colors
Slovan players admirably represented Slovan colors during national break wearing national jerseys.
Several of them added not only great performances but also very valuable scores and they contributed to amazing success of Slovak national team.
From the chosen trio for national team, only Jan Mucha had the chance to play in national jersey. Skilled goalkeeper from Slovan played the whole game in Trnava against Switzerland and he helped the team under the supervision of the coach Kozák to win 3:2. Unfortunately, as it is known, Robert Vittek could not join the game due to his injury.
Adam Laczkó showed his skills in Slovakia U19 team. Young defender from Slovan in 26th minute scored the first goal of the game against Northern Ireland and he directed his team to the triumph 2:0, which ensured Slovak youngsters the participation in the second stage of qualification for European Championship. After draws with Russia and Norway team of coach Milan Malatinský needed full points from their last game against Northern Ireland.
By scoring an awesome goal, our forward Tamás Priskin improved his performance in Hungarian national team. He made fools out of Norway's defenders and he fired his shot to the net perfectly. His shot was immediately posted all over slovak media and people appreciated his shooting quality.
Vukan Savičevič also represented himself in Montenegro U21 national team by scoring. He closed the score to 3:3 at the end of their game with Latvia, when he cleared their one goal loss.
As a curiosity we can mention that for Côte d'Ivoire national team for the last several minutes of the qualification match (guests won 1:0) our ex-player Mamadou Bagayoko was given a chance to play, currently he is playing in a Belgian first league team Sint-Truidense.
